iNAM Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

iNAM (“the app”) is developed by Julian Nachbauer. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

The short version

Your audio never leaves your device. We don’t collect, store, or transmit your guitar signal, recordings, or tone settings. The app works fully offline.

Audio and microphone

iNAM requests microphone access solely to process your instrument signal in real time (through a connected audio interface or the built-in microphone). All audio processing happens on your device. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted unless you explicitly export a recording yourself.

Files you import

NAM models (.nam) and impulse responses (.wav) you import are copied to the app’s local storage on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere.

Purchases

iNAM is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. We never see your payment details.

Crash reporting

If enabled in a future update, anonymized crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS version — never audio or personal content) may be sent to a crash reporting service to help us fix bugs. This will be disclosed in the App Store listing when active.

Analytics

The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Data retention and deletion

All app data (presets, imported models, settings) lives on your device and in your personal iCloud backup if enabled. Deleting the app deletes this data. We hold nothing on our servers.

Children

iNAM does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

We’ll update this policy if the app’s data practices change, and note the date at the top.
